Knee pain vanished!

I have been doing Zumba for years. Lately, my knee has been acting up, after every session. Once it swelled so badly, i had to go on painkillers and cancel classes. I have had two severe knee injuries previously, and i guess all that constant workouts was just too much on the injured knee.

Over a month ago, a fellow Zumba fan advised me on taking the Alpha Lipid Colostrum Capsules, to combat this knee pain i had been battling with. Its been over a month now, and i have had 4 workout sessions, and my knee is almost like its back to normal....I would advise anyone who has had an injury and who is on a  constant workout routine, or any sport activity, please take this.

1st Grade Colostrum Capsules With Alpha Lipid - 60 Capsules
1st Grade Colostrum Capsules With Alpha Lipid - 60 CapsulesHighest-grade New Zealand colostrum with ALPHA LIPID.
Active Ingredients:
455mg Bovine Colostrum powder providing
91mg immunoglobulinsWhat's the ALPHA LIPID difference?
ALPHA LIPID colostrum is the best colostrum available on the market today. It contains only the highest-grade New Zealand cow's colostrum, processed to ensure maximum bioavailability, plus added ALPHA LIPID.
ALPHA LIPID is an exclusive formula developed by research scientists to make the colostrum more powerful than ever. It enhances solubility (and therefore absorbability) by up to 100%.
ALPHA LIPID also helps improve brain and liver function, and helps prevent memory loss.
ALPHA LIPID colostrum is literally nature’s ‘first food’. The pre-milk liquid provided for all newborn mammals, it is produced before normal milk. It contains literally hundreds of elements and compounds that are vital for health.
Cow’s colostrum is perfectly suited for human consumption - in fact, it contains up to 20 times more immune factors than human colostrum.
Colostrum has over 200 compounds that work in harmony with your body to achieve a variety of benefits:
>Boosts natural immunity to disease
>Helps the immune system to function properly
>Helps heal the gut and protect the gut from disease
>Increases lean muscle mass
>Increases the burning of fat
>Improves skin texture and elasticity
>Reduces symptoms of aging
>Strengthens bones and improves healthy growth
>Helps improve concentration levels
Dosage: For all-round wellness and vitality, healthy adults and kids can take 2 capsules or chewable tablets first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, with water. People with health challenges should simply increase the dosage until an improvement is felt. There are no negative side-effects associated with taking colostrum, as it is perfectly suited to the mammalian body - and you can take as much as you like!

Zumba and Older People

NEW YORK -
After about 40, must of us wouldn't have the guts to dance our hearts out in a room full of strangers wearing nothing but a leotard, but as she nears 90, Alice Gross has the body and the energy of a much younger woman.

So what's her secret?

If you like your workout a little spicy, you will probably like Zumba.

"As soon as that music hits and you start dancing and moving you don't even realize you're working out," Gross said.

The Latin-inspired, calorie-busting fitness program has pulled in some new fans.

"Zumba requires some mental activity, it certainly requires you to concentrate," Gross said.

Gross is 85 years young and a soon-to-be great-grandmother. She tries to take a Zumba class everyday and says exercise is her "fountain of youth."

"It keeps you healthy, it keeps you alive, it keeps you young," she said. "I don't feel 85, I don't think about it. "

Dr. Joyce Fogel, Chief of Geriatrics at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, says exercise is important for seniors on many levels.

"We know that exercise has benefits in managing high blood pressure, diabetes, it's very important for osteoporosis," said Fogel. "I think that when people have memory problems that they more engaged they are and involved with other people and keeping busy, the better it is for them."

Fogel says be sure and talk to your doctor before trying any new exercise routine,  but she's impressed with Alice.

"I think she should be the poster child for exercise in the elderly. Not everybody can do that, so it's great that she can," said Fogel.

For now, there is no slowing down this "Zumba Grandma."

"I don't want to think about the time when I'll ever to stop, I don't know what would happen to me," said Gross.

According the Zumba website, 12 million people in 60 countries now take a weekly Zumba class.

With a third of Americans now considered baby boomers, the company has created "Zumba Gold" to target folks like Alice Gross.

Do's and Dont's On Zumba & Pregnancy

If you were a fan before you conceived, it’s likely you can continue Zumba when pregnant. This megapopular dance-based workout can be high impact, but it also allows for adjustments to accommodate a growing belly and changing body. Here’s how to keep the party going while still keeping your niƱito-to-be safe and sound.
Do check with your doctor first. For most mamas-to-be, exercise is healthy and beneficial, and doctors recommend continuing pre-pregnancy workout routines. But in some high-risk pregnancies, exercise is considered unsafe and your health-care provider will ask you to take it easy. Your ob-gyn may recommend skipping the Zumba routines in pregnancy in favor of some low-key strolls instead.
Do check in with your Zumba instructor too. The teacher should be able to show you modifications to your usual moves, especially those that involve a lot of bending and twisting; they’ll be hard to perform when your baby bump is in the way and your sense of balance is off-kilter (more on that below). If the instructor isn’t encouraging and helpful, try another class or gym.
Do drink plenty of water before, during, and after you exercise, and wear comfortable, breathable clothes. The music and moves in Zumba class might be sizzling, but overheating isn’t good for you or your baby during pregnancy.
Don’t dance so vigorously that you can’t sing along to the music. If you’re breathing so heavily in Zumba class that you can hardly harmonize or are unable to even chat with a classmate, you’re working too hard — and depriving the baby of oxygen. Slow down and reduce the intensity of those dance moves.
Do go low-impact, especially as your pregnancy progresses. Keeping one foot on the floor at all times (marching instead of jumping, stepping instead of leaping) is easier on your newly bulky body. Cutting back on arm movements will also help you keep your heart rate lower — and keep you from overexerting yourself.
Don’t forget that pregnancy affects your balance (that big belly again) and your joints (you can thank pregnancy hormones for relaxing your ligaments). So quick transitions, twists, and turns can be tricky. Take care with these types of moves and modify them if you need to.
Do check out Aqua Zumba, which gives you the high energy and fun of the classic dance workout in the zero-impact, refreshingly cool environment of the swimming pool.
Do know the warning signs of overexertion: uterine contractions, vaginal bleeding or fluid leakage, dizziness, chest pain, shortness of breath, headache, and pain or swelling in your calf muscles. If you experience any of these during a Zumba class or any other workout, stop exercising and call your health-care professional.

Zumba and Pregnancy

This intense, strenuous and even explosive Latin aerobic dance form can combine surprisingly well with pregnancy. Many Zumba dancers report a surge of energy to combat fatigue, and YouTube videos show women eight months pregnant instructing classes with vigor. The bottom line: Listen to your body. Don't start Zumba during pregnancy unless you are already a reasonably fit dancer. Do continue with it if it feels good: Your baby may be bopping right along as the tiniest class member.

Expert Opinion

Mayo Clinic head obstetrician Dr. Roger W. Harms notes that, in the past, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists "recommended a heart rate of no more than 140 beats a minute for exercise during pregnancy." The college has revised this recommendation to recommending 30 minutes of exercise a day during pregnancy for most women without any specific heart rate limits; a broader guideline that keeps Zumba feasible.
